RACHEL JONES  (Actor’s Equity, SAG-AFTRA) is an actor, teacher and director. She is the Owner/Director of The Actor’s Circle in Brookfield CT where she teaches acting and holds creativity workshops for actors and writers. She is a founding member of Axial Theatre in Westchester County. She is in her sixteenth year as a teaching artist with the Howard Meyer Acting Program, the educational wing of Axial Theatre, where she also is the Director of HM Acting’s Performance Workshops. She has also taught at Northern Westchester School of the Arts, and Greenwich Academy.

 

As an actor, she has toured the US and Canada with the First National tour of the Broadway play M. Butterfly and has worked in films and commercials. (Fresh Horses with Ben Stiller, Dracula’s Widow) With Axial she has originated many roles (Dahlia in Lost in Paradise, Leila in Welcome This is a Neighborhood Watch Community,  and Samantha in The Contract to name a few.) She recently performed the role of Irina Arkadina in Axial’s acclaimed production of The Seagull by Anton Chekhov. This past spring she directed a production of Dead Man’s Cell Phone by Sara Ruhl.

 

Ms. Jones received formal Meisner training with Greg Zittel, one of Sanford Meisner’s original teaching assistants. She has studied with the Stella Adler Studio through NYU Tisch, and at HBStudios in NYC.
